I LIKE WRECKING CARDS.
YES.
Trying out a new tactic in which I tape off my edges.
So…. I picked up one of these bad boys yesterday.
I haven’t opened it yet! I mainly got it because that Maze’ll look nice in an EDH deck, one of the guys I share a collection with wants to play Lands in Legacy, and because the price was VERY right.
The box alone was worth it, it’s so fun. It uses a little magnet to latch closed. The whole thing is so sleek and well put together. The design is great, it feels so professional. It came with a cool little die too, which I wasn’t expecting at all, but which looks great. I love the red and gold. I’m definitely going to play with it instead of just flipping it, and the cards I’m not really interested in will trade GREAT.
Did anyone else notice the two people making out in the background of the new Dryad Arbor? :/ Awkward.
A commission I did a while back for one of the nicest people I’ve ever met.
She asked for a Kemba, Kha Regent and a Skithyrix for her EDH decks, they are her generals.
Kemba’s holding a Sword of Fire and Ice, which is definitely my favorite part of the card. I added cats around the bottom, as I had some blank spaces I wasn’t sure what to do with. Still not entirely happy with that Kemba… but this was such a fun alter to do.
This was my first commission! I’m currently available for commissions if anyone’s interested, they start at $15 plus shipping. I’m at: Blitzanger@gmail.com
I FOUND THIS TODAY ONLINE AND I THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE IT WITH YOU GUYS.
There are few things I like better than Magic. Unicorns are potentially one of them.
I think finding this card removed quite a few of my age counters. :)

A play set of Lingering Souls I did on commission.
The fourth card in the alter is missing in both of these pictures and I’m sorry about that, but it had an accident and I had to repair it and I took these while it was drying. » It wasn’t much different from these three, if I find a picture of it I’ll toss it up.
I was free to paint whatever I liked as long as I kept to the theme of ‘Pac-man Ghosts’, and I was excited because I really wanted to do a set of spirit tokens with the ghosts on them, and this was as good if not better! I wasn’t as strict with the original design as I would have liked to be, and there are a LOT of things I dislike about the set as a whole. They also took me about 2 weeks longer than they should have, for some reason. Maybe it was the full-art work? Man. I should stick to basic extensions instead of getting fancy all the time!
Hey guys! Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed for the power to come back ;) We got power back today around noon! Hopefully it stays up.
To keep myself busy while it was out, I was working on some alters. I was having a lot of trouble with the one and it needed to dry, so I messed around with this! A full-art spirit token for my personal use. I think I’d like to do a set of these, a set of 3 spirit tokens with Gastly, Haunter and Gengar. I’d love to do another few sets of tokens like this, with an evolution chain as a token set, like maybe Dratini as wurm tokens, or the original legendary birds as bird tokens…
Guys I like Pokemon, by the way. :B In case you didn’t know…
I actually used one of the rules tip cards that was an ad on both sides to do this token. :) I think it was a good use of it! So I didn’t destroy a real token, and didn’t just toss the ad. Win/Win!
It isn’t quite done yet, I still have some tweaking and lettering to do, but I’m fairly happy with it. What do you guys think?
LOOK WHAT I GOT TODAY! :D
It was at Wal-Mart for $20. Not bad! It’ll be a nice addition to the collection. It’s gotten to the point where I consider certain purchases to be investments rather than just shiny new play things, and this is definitely an investment, I think.
I also got this.

……. I spent a long time looking at it and I think it might have trample. Maybe.
I have no idea. I liked the holographic quality of the foiling and that it said ‘Cyber dragon Cyber dragon Cyber dragon’ on it. How baffling. It will make an adequate Magic token of some form.
… . And they’re back for Magic 2013 :
• Glacial Fortress (u/w)
• Drowned Catacomb (u/b)
• Dragonskull Summit (b/r)
• Rootbound Crag (r/g)
• Sunpetal Grove (g/w)
Man, I lost a bet on this one.
It was my opinion that because we got the Innistrad enemy duals, and because we’d be getting cool duals in Return, we weren’t going to see the old Buddy Lands reprinted. I mean, how many dual lands can they give us? The colors have always sort of traditionally fought against being played together and it’s always been a little difficult to run a mana base that’s too diverse and too accessible. There were a few rare exceptions to this, like Sunburst decks, Alara and Original Ravnica (and I guess a little Llorwyn?), but even then we didn’t see the sort of spread we currently have in standard of dual lands cluttering up the place.
But it looks like Wizards is trending towards making multi-colored decks easier to get at for everyone, which is nice with Return to Ravnica looming just around the corner.
Assuming we get cool duals in Return to Ravnica! I guess I’m just assuming we’ll see some heavy multi-color fun in there because Original Ravnica was multicolored and we haven’t had much in the way of Multi-colored cards through Scars and Innistrad. But I could be wrong, maybe all of the guilds have shattered into factions and they’ll surprise us with some mono-colored stuff and new mechanics (I personally just want Haunt and Hellbent back. Really, that’s all).
So right now, we have the Scars Duals, the Innistrad Enemy Buddies and the Core Set Buddies, along with some search and solid utility lands. The Scars lands will rotate, but we’ll presumably be getting some other cool lands in Ravnica. (Which is fine, there’s a foil Darkslick Shores I have my eye on for EDH, despite it being the least practical EDH choice ever….)
Should be a good time! I’m super stoked for Ravnica 2.0.
