Navigator (CDIG)
Competitive Defensive Inflexible Game-player
As a Navigator you believe in working hard to get the best out of your deck. You spend a lot of time thinking about your strategy, getting it just right before a big tournament. You can’t understand these people who just pick up a deck the night before and expect to go in and win. For this reason you’re probably not that keen on drafting. When a new set comes out it means lots of work for you - but you invest the time because in the end it’s going to pay off. You always check up on spoilers, eager to find out what the card names are and what they all do. You put a lot of time into reading articles about Magic strategy and thinking about how their advice can be fitted into your style of play.
Nothing beats the satisfaction that comes from seeing all that preparation pay off as you gradually beat your opponent. A bit like a chess player, you tend to take your time during a game, running through everything in your mind to make sure you’ve got everything covered. You think about all the things your opponent might do and all the things you’ll need to do if that happens. Having taken all the time to develop a system for victory, you want to make sure you carry it out perfectly.
Everyone likes to ask a Navigator for directions. You know all the cards and what they do - making you an extremely valuable person to have around. You’re probably very good at teaching people how to play, and you make a really useful part of any team. You know the value of your knowledge and you’re happy to discuss the game with people, but you wouldn’t harm your team’s chances by spreading it too widely.

Cat Opens Gatecrash Prize Pack!
My cat wanted to help us crack packs!
He did a good job and opened up an “Assemble the Legion”, but declared himself to be more of a Simic-minded player.
So I picked up my Underground Sea, and it was looking a little shabby. I heard you can touch them up, so I thought I’d give it a go and see if I could make it look a little better.
I wanted to take the “dirt” off of the edges, so the white border looked a little cleaner. Let me tell you, it was nerve-wracking, haha. One slip means you demolish your Sea…
I forgot to take a before picture, but the second and third pictures are of the Sea half cleaned. the bottom two are my befores and afters, haha!
Well, it won’t be winning any prizes at the ball, and no one is going to mistake it as a mint card, but it’s an improvement!
Just thought I’d show you guys what I’ve been up to.

I came to the conclusion that if I ever wanted to ship all of my Bulk rares, the best answer would be to alter them! I’ve never been commissioned to do an extension, and I’ve always wanted to give it a try, so I just went ahead and cleaned up this Planar Cleansing. No one’s traded for it yet, but hopefully someone will take the bait soon ;)
I’ll be doing a few more of these in the next few weeks, I’ve already singled out a few I think could use some love that would look great in EDH decks!
Alright, apologies for the quality, as this was done completely on a whim for a friend.
This is Edric, Spymaster of Trest as Dr. Doom! This was such a riot to do. I did it in the middle of a tournament, and a ton of fellows came over to see what I was up to, everyone was super excited about it. It was great to have an audience!
Though I never would have guessed Doom was an Elf Rogue….
So I wanted something special for the Gatecrash Pre-Release, and I knew just what I needed. :)
Being the dedicated Dimir player I am, I set out to make myself something UB-ish, and I knew a Dimir signet would be wonderful. I pulled out my Sculpey and set to work!
This is my process and the final result! LEt me know what you think! I’ve been questioned about making more for the other guilds as Keychains, as I’m the only MtG player I know that wears pretty choker necklaces ;)
So there’s the plan, the build-up, post-baking (I didn’t mind the coloration I got during baking as I knew I’d be painting it), painting, and my finished necklace. I hope you like it!

Here’s an alter for you guys! It’s a pretty simple Elixir of Immortality that was a Christmas gift for my manager. It was a riot to do, I love this sort of work. He said he loved it and had to find a space in an EDH deck for it! I’m so glad he liked it. :D

So I picked this up a while back. I thought it was really neat.
It’s a foil Swiftfoot Boots with a strange printing error. There’s just a huge glob of white in the middle of the art. I misplaced it in my travel bag and recently found it again, I thought I’d share it. :D it’s going in my EDH deck, I think!

I do have a commission being shipped to me that should be the best fun, as well as two potential commissions being discussed (plus a non-mtg piece, woah!). I’m so happy to be at a point in my artistic ability that I’m being paid to art things. It is just the biggest honor and compliment. :’D

This one page if my binder is like worth the rest of my binder put together. Anyway, I’m going to completely ruin them by playing them in the stupidest legacy deck ever. Helm Line.

(The Duals are actually going to find a home in my EDH deck until the time comes for them to be called upon. The Forces are for High Tide. :) I’m trying to pick up two more right now, and we still need the Time Spirals, but otherwise the deck’s all put together. When the Duals see Legacy play, they’ll either be in Lands, Miracles or legitimately in Helm Line…)
Condition wise, the Tundra’s gorgeous, definitely SP. the Sea’s beat to shit, they’re trying to convince me to use my alter powers to restore it but… I’m so afraid. It’s playable in a sleeve, i guess that’s what counts? The back of it looks like it’s been through a cheese grater. :/ It isn’t pretty.
One of the Forces is better than the other, but they’re both fairly battle worn, with a few scuffs. They’ve all been around, which is sort of nice. I don’t have to worry about wrecking them. :)
Now I just need two more Forces… >:3
I was cleaning up my room tonight and I ran across a poster I’d meant to hang up ages ago (I REALLY needed to clean my room).
Yep I just hung the promotional poster of Sorin from the Dark Ascension prerelease above my bed. I think this counts as a ‘pin up’ in my world. *swoon* He’s so dreamy~
(No worries, the D&D ‘Dragon Types’ chart that previously hung there is just being moved to the other side of the room, not replaced!)
